Agents and Permissions

How to manage agent accounts, set access levels, and configure permissions in the Bamboo dashboard.

Viewing Agents

Navigate to Agents in the sidebar to see all agent accounts. The agents table displays:

  • Name and email address.
  • Organisation and branch assignment.
  • Status - Whether the agent is enabled or disabled.

Filtering Agents

Use the filters at the top of the page to narrow the list:

  • Search - Find agents by name or email.
  • Organisation - Filter to a specific organisation.
  • Region / Branch - Narrow to agents in a specific location.
  • Enabled only - Toggle to show only active agents.

Adding a New Agent

  1. Click Add Agent in the sidebar or from the agents list.
  2. Fill in the agent's details:
    • Full name and email address.
    • Organisation and branch assignment.
    • Access level - Set the agent's permissions (see below).
  3. Save the agent. They will receive an email invitation to set up their password.

Agent Detail Page

Click on any agent to view their full profile. From here you can:

  • Edit their personal details.
  • Change their branch assignment.
  • Update their access level and permissions.
  • Enable or disable their account.

Access Levels

Each agent is assigned an access level that determines what they can see and manage:

Branch Level

  • Can view and manage properties for their assigned branch only.
  • Cannot see data from other branches.
  • Best for individual negotiators or branch staff.

Region Level

  • Can view and manage properties across all branches within their assigned region.
  • Useful for regional managers overseeing multiple offices.

Organisation Level

  • Full access to all branches, regions, and settings.
  • Can manage other agents and organisation-wide configuration.
  • Typically assigned to directors, senior management, or administrators.

Permissions

Beyond access levels, agents can be granted specific permissions:

  • Approved CRM Listing - Allows the agent to add properties from integrated CRMs (e.g. Street, Alto). Without this permission, agents can view CRM properties but cannot import them.
  • Can View Invoices - Grants access to the invoices section.
  • Read Only - The agent can view data but cannot make changes. Useful for observers or reporting-only accounts.

Joint Agents

Joint agents allow two organisations to collaborate on a property sale. Navigate to Joint Agents in the sidebar to manage joint agent relationships.

Adding a Joint Agent

  1. Navigate to Joint Agents > Add Joint Agent.
  2. Select the partner organisation.
  3. Configure the joint agent relationship, including fee-sharing arrangements.

How Joint Agents Work

When a joint agent relationship is established:

  • Both organisations can view and manage the shared properties.
  • Commission and fees can be split between the two parties.
  • Both sets of branding may appear on the property listing, depending on configuration.

Disabling an Agent

If an agent leaves the organisation or no longer needs access:

  1. Open the agent's profile.
  2. Toggle the Enabled status to disabled.
  3. The agent will immediately lose access to the dashboard.

Disabling an agent preserves their historical data and activity. Their past listings and transactions remain intact.
